British startup creates voice-only social network: Blabnote, a British startup, may be the world’s first voice-only social network, according to TechCrunch. The service uses voice-recognition technology on a telephone to perform the functions of social networks (tagging, groups, etc.) Good luck. This is possibly the dumbest idea I have ever heard of. Do you know how many people I know that have iPhones, or at least a WAP capabilities? When they’re at their phone, they can pull up Facebook on their screen! Plus, voice recognition technology isn’t too reliable. Do you know how many times I’ve tried to talk to Julie, Amtrak’s automated attendant? (TechCrunch)

Too bad the folks at Mashable! couldn’t post at this hour. I think they’re too busy at MashBash NYC right now…
