Obama is third most popular Twitter user

It seems that the Democratic presidential candidate’s popularity at the polls has translated to Twitter as well.
According to Twitterholic, Sen. Barack Obama’s Twitter account (which hasn’t even been updated in three days) has over 31,000 followers, making him (read: his campaign) the third most popular Twitter user. Leo Laporte and Kevin Rose are numbers one and two respectively, though Obama has interestingly beat Twitter power user Robert Scoble (from whom I’ve recieved over five twits already today…and what do you know I just got another one).
So it seems that Barack can afford to have his Twitter account idle for three days, and still beat the Scobleizer who rapidly updates his Twitter.
By the way, Hillary Clinton is currently ranked 91 (3,195 followers) and John McCain didn’t even make the top 100. Could this be a predictor of November?
